โ Back to Emailify Video Tutorials
What this video covers
The video shows how to localize an Emailify email design in Figma by exporting text to an Excel spreadsheet, translating the locale columns, and importing the file back into Figma. It also shows how the localized frames can then be exported as HTML emails, including platform options like HTML, Klaviyo, and MailChimp.
Things you'll need
- An email design already created in Emailify
- A spreadsheet editor such as Excel or Google Sheets
Steps
- Install Emailify from the Figma Community and open it from Plugins in your Figma file.
- Select the email frame, click Localize, choose the locales you want, and export the text content to an Excel spreadsheet.
- Translate the locale columns in the spreadsheet, leaving any text you want unchanged blank so it falls back to the original Figma text.
- Drag and drop the updated spreadsheet back into the Localize section and click Localize Selected Frames to create translated copies on a new page.
- Review the localized frames in Figma and, if needed, update the original component styles so the changes carry through to the translated instances.
- Use Export HTML, choose the emails to export, select HTML or another platform option, and download the .zip file containing the translated emails and images.
