โ Back to Emailify Video Tutorials
What this video covers
This tutorial shows how to localize HTML email designs in Figma with the Emailify plugin by connecting it to Crowdin API, uploading email text strings, translating them in Crowdin, and importing the translated versions back into Figma. It also shows how to re-upload updated source text and export the finished translated emails to HTML.
Things you'll need
- A Figma file with an Emailify-ready email design
- A Crowdin account
- A Crowdin personal access token
Steps
- Open the Emailify Figma plugin from Resources or Saved plugins and load an existing Emailify-ready email design.
- Create a private Crowdin project with String-based project enabled, then choose the source language and target languages.
- In Emailify, open Localize, switch from Excel to Crowdin API, and paste a Crowdin personal access token with the required permissions.
- Select the email frame and click Upload to send the text strings and screenshot from Figma to Crowdin.
- Translate the uploaded strings in Crowdin and save the changes.
- Back in Emailify, click Import Translations on the original page to create translated frames in Figma.
- If the source copy changes in Figma, upload again to update the Crowdin source strings, then export the translated emails with Export HTML.
