You can also add background images to your layout by setting the Figma image fill on a Row, Hero or Wrapper layer in your email design.

Drag and drop an image from your computer into a Column

The quickest way to add an inline content image to your Column layers is to drag and drop an image file from your computer into Figma, and then drag the image layer inside your Column (and resize it as needed).

If you already have an image in your Figma file that you would like to use as a content image inside of your email design, you can drag and drop that layer into your Column layer, too.

You can set the alt text attribute or add a clickable URL link to your images by using the Settings button in the plugin header.

Add an image frame to your Column with other static layers inside of it

You can also add an image frame to your email design by clicking on a Column layer, then selecting the Image dropdown option in the Quick Add elements menu, then clicking the Add + button to add a new image frame inside your Column layer in Figma.

After you’ve added the image frame, you can set the image fill by clicking on the new layer in Figma, then adding an image fill from the right-hand column in Figma under the Fills panel.

You can also add any other layers inside of your image frame, and these will automatically be included in the single static image layer that will be rendered in your final HTML exports.

You can set the alt text attribute or add a clickable URL link to your images by using the Settings button in the plugin header.
