This tutorial shows how to use the Pitchdeck Figma plugin to import a PowerPoint .pptx into Figma, then copy the imported frames into a new Figma Slides file. It also demonstrates that the imported slides remain editable in Figma Slides and can be rearranged or updated there.
Things you'll need
- A Figma app account with access to a regular Figma design file and Figma Slides
- The Pitchdeck Figma plugin
- An existing PowerPoint .pptx file
Steps
- Open a regular Figma design file and find the Pitchdeck plugin from Resources or Saved plugins.
- Run the plugin and use the Import .pptx button or drag and drop a PowerPoint .pptx file into the drop zone.
- Wait for the PowerPoint slides to import into Figma as editable frames.
- Select all imported frames, then copy them.
- Open a new Figma Slides file and click start from scratch.
- Make sure list view is selected, then right-click in the sidebar list and paste the copied frames.
- Edit, move, replace images, or rearrange the imported slides in Figma Slides as needed.
