Embed live Figma designs in Figma presentations

This tutorial shows how to use the Pitchdeck Figma plugin to embed a live Figma design into a Figma presentation. It also demonstrates exporting the presentation to the web and viewing the embedded design with live updates.

Things you'll need

  • A Figma file with slides set up as frames.
  • A Figma share link with Anyone with the link set to Can view.

Steps

  1. Open your Figma file, search for Pitchdeck in the Resources icon, and run or save the Pitchdeck Figma plugin.
  2. Right-click the page, go to Plugins, open Saved plugins, and launch Pitchdeck.
  3. Use a Figma frame as a slide, then select the slide layer where you want the embed.
  4. Open the GIFs/Videos/Embeds tab in Pitchdeck and paste a Figma share link into the embed field.
  5. In Figma, click Share, set Anyone with the link to Can view, and copy the file link.
  6. Click Export Presentation in Pitchdeck, then Update Presentation, and open the generated web presentation link.
  7. View the embedded Figma design in the browser, where you can zoom, move around, and see live updates when the source design changes.
