What this video covers
This tutorial shows how to use the Pitchdeck Figma plugin to export slides to PDF and reduce file size for large presentations with high-resolution image fills. It compares a native Figma PDF export with Pitchdeck’s optimized export and the Downsize large Figma image fills option.
Things you'll need
- A Figma file with frames or slides to export
- The Pitchdeck Figma plugin
Steps
- Open the Figma file, use the Resources icon to find Pitchdeck under the Plugins tab, then run it or save it to Saved plugins for later access.
- Prepare the slides with frames or image-filled layers, then export a baseline PDF from Figma to compare file size.
- In Pitchdeck, click the export button in the top right, choose PDF, and leave PDF quality at 300 DPI for best quality.
- Export the PDF once without downsizing to see the optimized Pitchdeck file size.
- Open export settings again, enable Downsize large Figma image fills, and export the PDF a second time.
- Download the PDF and compare the file info to confirm the reduced size.
