Use these formats to hand a deck to an AI agent, reuse its copy, present offline or print handouts. They require an active trial or Pitchdeck Pro.

The export panel shows a short format summary. Expand Export details for instructions and limitations. The export button stays at the bottom while you scroll through settings.

Export a portable deck

1. Load the slides you want to export in Pitchdeck.
2. Open Export and choose AI Agent Handoff, Markdown & Images, Local HTML Presentation or Printable Handouts.
3. Optionally enable Include Speaker Notes. This includes notes saved in Pitchdeck; it does not read native Figma Slides presenter notes.
4. Export, download the ZIP and extract it before opening its files.

AI handoffs, Markdown and handouts include numbered slide PNGs, deck.md, deck.json and README.md. Images are exported at 1x resolution. Hidden layers are omitted. Visible text that is clipped by a parent can remain in the extracted text, so review the files before sharing them.

AI agent handoff

The AI handoff ZIP also includes index.json, an individual JSON file for each slide, and TASKS.md with suggested review, rewrite, translation and reconstruction tasks. The index lets an agent load only the slides it needs. Layer IDs map proposed copy changes back to their source Figma layers.

Give your agent the ZIP and a specific task, for example:

Read README.md and index.json. Review this deck for clarity and repetition. Compare the slide images with the extracted text and reference slide numbers and layer IDs in your suggestions.

Pitchdeck saves the ZIP locally and does not send it to an AI service. Speaker notes are excluded unless you enable them. The included agent guidance treats slide content as document data, not instructions to execute or publish.

The JSON contains reference geometry, text runs and available paint/effect data. It is not a lossless Figma reconstruction format. The PNGs are the visual reference. The AI handoff also includes original image files in assets/images/ and supported vector artwork in assets/vectors/. Layer and paint asset paths link to these files, alongside the image crop and transform data. Original images can contain pixels outside the visible crop. Repeated image fills share one file. Per-slide warnings identify vector artwork that could not be exported separately. Layer order follows the source tree rather than an inferred reading order.

Markdown and images

Open deck.md in a Markdown editor. It contains slide names, text and optional notes, with relative links to the numbered PNGs. Keep the slides folder alongside the Markdown file when moving or sharing it. Source text is preserved in literal blocks so embedded markup does not become active document content.

Local HTML presentation

Open the extracted index.html in a browser. The ZIP includes the player, slide artwork, GIFs, built-in animations and custom keyframes. Use Previous, Next, arrow keys or your slide links to navigate. Replay restarts the current slide, Full screen starts full-screen viewing, and Notes opens optional speaker notes.

Web embeds and externally linked video, audio and Lottie content require internet. Providers may block embedding from local files; use a hosted presentation when a provider requires a hosted origin. Sound playback may require a click because of browser autoplay rules. Lottie expressions are not supported in the local player.

Keep the whole extracted folder together. Remote controls, shared pointers, analytics and account services are not included.

Host the HTML deck on your own account

Choose Local HTML Presentation (Zip file) under Self-Hosted HTML, then extract the archive and upload its contents using your hosting provider's static-site deployment tools. Keep index.html at the published root and preserve the asset folders.

Use a separate site or project for each presentation. The deck does not include Pitchdeck's hosted password protection, analytics, remote controls or pointers. Your provider's access controls and hosting limits apply. Linked media still requires internet and depends on its provider's embedding rules. Include speaker notes only if you want visitors to read them.

Printable handouts

Open the extracted index.html, then choose Print / Save as PDF. Select your paper size and printer or PDF destination in the browser's print dialog. Each slide includes space for written notes. Long speaker notes may continue onto another page.

Limits

AI handoffs, Markdown and handouts contain still images. Local HTML presentations preserve layer animations, links and supported media embeds. An export is limited to 250 MB of artwork; split larger decks into smaller exports.

For a video file, use MP4 Slideshow. For editable slides, use PowerPoint.
