What this video covers
This video shows how to embed a live Figma prototype into a Pitchdeck Figma presentation. It walks through saving and running the Pitchdeck plugin, copying a Figma prototype link, pasting it into an Embed layer, and exporting the presentation to the Pitchdeck web app where the prototype stays live and updates in real time.
Things you'll need
- A Figma file with the Pitchdeck plugin available
- A Figma prototype link with Anyone with the link access set to Can view
- A Pitchdeck presentation frame with a layer prepared for the embed
Steps
- Open a Figma file, find Pitchdeck in Resources, and run or save the Pitchdeck plugin.
- Create a slide frame and add a placeholder layer, such as a rectangle, where the prototype will be embedded.
- In the Figma prototype file, set the Prototype background to match the presentation background, then open Present mode.
- Use Share Prototype, set access to Anyone with the link and Can view, and copy the prototype link.
- In the Pitchdeck slide, open the Embeds tab and paste the copied Figma prototype link into the target layer.
- Export the presentation as Pitchdeck Presentation (Web URL) and choose Update Web Presentation or Upload Web Presentation.
- Open the Passwordless URL in the browser and view the live embedded prototype in the presentation.
