This video shows how to embed a live Canva design into a Figma presentation using the Pitchdeck Figma plugin. It covers enabling Canva embeds, copying the Smart Embed Link, pasting it into a Pitchdeck slide, and exporting the presentation as a Pitchdeck Presentation Web URL.

Things you'll need

  • A Figma file with Pitchdeck installed
  • A Canva design with embeds enabled

Steps

  1. Open your Figma file, find Pitchdeck in Resources, and save or run the plugin from Saved Plugins.
  2. Create slides as frames on the Figma page, then select the slide where you want the Canva embed.
  3. In Canva, click Share, open More, choose Embed, and enable embeds for the design.
  4. Copy the Smart Embed Link from Canva.
  5. Go back to Pitchdeck in Figma, open the Embeds tab for the selected slide, and paste the Smart Embed Link into the embed field.
  6. Adjust the embed layer size or aspect ratio in Figma if needed.
  7. Export the deck using Pitchdeck Presentation Web URL, then open the Passwordless URL or share the generated presentation link.
