Create print-ready pages in Figma

Set up and export print-ready PDFs without leaving TinyImage's Print workspace.

The Print workspace keeps page setup and PDF export together:

  1. Open Create Print Frames to choose the page size, safe area, bleed, crop marks, and optional fold guides.
  2. Select Create Frames to generate editable Figma frames.
  3. Select the finished top-level page frames in Figma.
  4. Open Export PDF for Print to choose the output settings, then select Export PDF.

You do not need to move to the separate PDF tab. Print uses TinyImage's existing PDF optimisation and colour-management pipeline from its own self-contained Export PDF for Print panel.

The Print tab is available in Figma Design. If you are working in FigJam or another Figma editor, open the file in Figma Design before creating print pages.

Configure the print pages ​

Choose a paper size and orientation, or enter a custom width and height. The setup preview identifies the trim, safe-area, bleed, crop, and fold boundaries and updates the pixel dimensions from the selected unit and DPI. TinyImage supports 72, 150, and 300 DPI for generated pages.

You can also configure:

  • The number of pages to create, from 1 to 100.
  • The base name for the generated Figma frames. If Document Name is empty, TinyImage uses TinyImage Print Set.
  • Separate safe-area/margin and bleed values for each edge.
  • Crop mark weight, offset, and length.
  • Whether bleed expands the page or stays within the selected page size.
  • Optional bi-fold, tri-fold, or custom fold positions, with vertical or horizontal guides.

Fold positions use percentages of the finished page. Custom positions accept up to eight comma-separated values between 0 and 100, such as 33.33, 66.67. TinyImage creates them as Figma layout guides, so they remain visible while you design but do not appear in exported files.

Margins, bleed, and crop marks are enabled by default. Turning off an option keeps its related values visible but disables them, so you can turn the option back on without re-entering the values.

Select Reset Defaults in the Page Setup for Print header to restore every frame-creation setting to its default. Resetting the setup does not delete your saved presets.

Crop marks are independent from bleed in Page Setup for Print. You can create pages with crop marks and no bleed; TinyImage adds the required space around the trim area for the marks.

The separate Add Crop Marks option in the PDF tab of Export Settings still requires Add Bleed. That exporter draws crop marks within its generated bleed area. Pages created by Page Setup for Print already contain their configured print elements, and TinyImage avoids adding duplicate bleed or crop marks during PDF export.

At the bottom of Page Setup for Print, select Save Preset to keep a custom print preset for later use. Choose a preset from the saved-preset selector to load it, or select Delete Preset to remove it. TinyImage shows a short notification after loading, saving, or deleting a preset.

If a value is invalid, TinyImage lists the affected setting and keeps Create Frames disabled until the setup is valid.

Export the print PDF ​

In Export PDF for Print, use the sorting and Maximum Image DPI selectors directly below the export header. Print PDF exports default to CMYK. Select PDF Print Settings to choose the output colour; choosing CMYK also reveals the Press Profile and Rendering Intent controls.

TinyImage remembers the Print PDF page order and export settings separately from the regular Create a PDF workflow for each Figma page. Changing a Print PDF colour profile, password, image-downscaling option, bleed setting, or other PDF Print setting does not change the corresponding regular PDF setting.

The panel includes:

  • The pages included in the PDF and their order.
  • An Export each page as a separate PDF switch. It is off by default, so TinyImage normally creates one merged PDF.
  • A Maximum Image DPI ceiling of 72, 150, 300, or 600 DPI for PDF image optimisation.
  • RGB, CMYK, or grayscale output.
  • GRACoL 2013, SWOP 2013, or Generic CMYK press profiles.
  • Perceptual, relative colourimetric, saturation, or absolute colourimetric rendering intent.

Turn on Export each page as a separate PDF when your printer or production workflow needs one file per selected page. A single selected page downloads directly as a PDF. Two or more pages download together in a ZIP, using safe, unique filenames based on the Figma page names. Each file uses the same image optimisation, password, colour-profile, and rendering-intent settings as a merged export.

Ask your print provider which CMYK profile and rendering intent they require. TinyImage intentionally does not offer arbitrary RGB-to-CMYK replacement tables because reliable per-colour mappings require a purpose-built DeviceLink profile.

Choose measurement units ​

You can work in:

  • Millimetres (default)
  • Inches

Changing the unit converts the page dimensions, margins, bleed, crop-mark offset, and crop-mark length without changing their physical size.

Existing PDF bleed workflow ​

The PDF tab in Export Settings also has an older workflow that adds bleed and crop marks while exporting existing Figma frames. Open the main PDF workspace and select Settings immediately before Export PDF. Crop marks in that workflow require bleed.
