Add audio to Figma animated MP4 video exports

This video tutorial is a complete step-by-step guide showing you how to add audio to Figma animated MP4 video exports from your design's layers directly from Figma using the TinyImage plugin.

TinyImage supports exporting animations as .mp4 videos using the same animation editor UI and workflow as the GIF exporter.

Using the same animation editor as GIF exports

The MP4 workflow uses the same frame selection, ordering, timing, transition, and preview controls as the GIF workflow.

To configure those shared controls, follow the GIF animation editor guide:

Exporting to MP4 format

Once your animation preview is ready:

  1. Open the export format dropdown in the animation toolbar.
  2. Select MP4 Video.
  3. Click Export to render your .mp4 file.

After rendering finishes, TinyImage will automatically download the exported MP4 file to your computer.

Adding audio to MP4 exports

MP4 exports can include optional audio:

  1. Add an .mp3 audio track in the MP4 export options.
  2. Confirm your animation timing and preview.
  3. Export as MP4 Video.

Audio tracks are only supported for MP4 exports.
