Setting PDF Export Options

Configure PDF quality, image downscaling, and color profile options for merged PDF exports.

The Image DPI selector remains beside the sorting selector in the PDF tab. To configure every other PDF export option, open the PDF workspace and select Settings immediately before Export PDF. TinyImage opens the PDF tab in the Export Settings panel.

Choose PDF Quality ​

Use Image DPI to choose 72 DPI, 150 DPI, or 300 DPI. Lower DPI creates smaller files, while higher DPI preserves more image detail.

Downscale Large Figma Image Fills ​

Enable Downscale large Figma image fills to resize oversized image fills to their actual layer size before export.

This can significantly reduce exported PDF size and improve export reliability for image-heavy files.

Add Bleed and Crop Marks ​

Enable Add Bleed, then optionally enable Add Crop Marks, when the selected frames do not already include those print elements.

In the PDF tab, Add Crop Marks requires Add Bleed because the exporter draws the marks within the generated bleed area. To create crop marks without bleed, use Page Setup for Print first, then export the generated frames from the PDF tab.

If a frame was generated by TinyImage's Print tab with bleed or crop marks, TinyImage detects those print elements and does not add a second copy during PDF export. Detection happens per frame, so ordinary frames in the same export still receive the enabled PDF settings.

Choose PDF Color Profile ​

Select the PDF Color Profile that matches your output use case:

  • RGB (Default, For Screens)
  • CMYK (For Print)
  • Greyscale (Black And White)

Standard PDF exports use TinyImage's default GRACoL 2013 press profile and perceptual rendering intent when CMYK (For Print) is selected. To choose a different Press Profile or Rendering Intent, open Export PDF for Print from the Print workspace, then select PDF Print Settings.

Print PDF exports default to CMYK and remember their settings separately from regular PDF exports for each Figma page.

If your export contains vector path gradients, enable Vector Path Gradients when needed to preserve expected gradient rendering.
