Video Tutorial: Merge frames to a compressed PDF

This video walks through how to export merged frames from Figma as compressed PDF files directly from Figma using the TinyImage plugin.

TinyImage exports PDF pages in the numbered order shown in the preview list. You can sort the list automatically or drag pages into a custom order before exporting.

If you move, rename, or add frames while the PDF view is open, click Refresh Figma Frames before checking the page order.

Sort Pages by Custom Order

Drag the numbered frame previews up or down to set the exact page order. Hover over a thumbnail or its reorder handle to enlarge that preview temporarily without expanding every row. TinyImage automatically switches the sorting option to Custom Order after you move a page.

Your custom ordering is saved and can be restored by selecting Sort Frames by Custom Order.

Sort Pages by Figma Layer Order

Use Sort Frames by Layer Order to match the order in your Figma layer list. Choose the down or up option to reverse the complete order.

Sort Pages Visually by Columns

Use Sort Frames Left to Right to read each visual column from top to bottom before moving to the next column. Use Sort Frames Right to Left for the reverse order.

TinyImage uses each frame's absolute position on the Figma canvas, including frames inside different Sections, and groups frames that are only slightly misaligned.

Sort Pages Visually by Rows

Use Sort Frames Top to Bottom to read each visual row from left to right before moving to the next row. Use Sort Frames Bottom to Top for the reverse order.

Sort Pages by Figma Layer Name

Use Sort by Figma Layer Name to sort by frame names. Numbered names use natural numeric order, so Page 2 appears before Page 10.

Visual and custom sorting only change the PDF page order. They do not rename frames or rearrange your Figma layer list.
