What this video covers
This tutorial shows how to use the CopyDoc Figma plugin to export Figma text layers as a DOCX file, edit the content in Office 365 Word, and import the updated text back into Figma. It also shows how to preview the changes before applying them and notes that longer imported text may require manual adjustment if Auto Layout is not used.

Steps
- Open the Figma Resources icon, search for CopyDoc, and run or save the plugin from Plugins.
- In Figma, open CopyDoc from Saved Plugins and choose export text layers with DOCX selected as the export format.
- Select the frames to export and click export DOCX, then download the DOCX export and open the ZIP contents to access the file.
- Upload the DOCX file to OneDrive in Office 365 and open it in Word to edit the text content and formatting.
- In Word, make your changes, then use File > Save As > Download a copy to save the updated DOCX to your computer.
- Return to CopyDoc in Figma, choose import text layers, drag and drop the updated DOCX file, review the previewed changes, and click update Figma text layers.
