What this video covers
This video shows how to spell check Figma text layers using the CopyDoc plugin. It demonstrates installing the plugin, scanning a page for spelling mistakes, reviewing grouped suggestions, and applying or undoing corrections in bulk.
Things you'll need
- Figma
- The CopyDoc plugin installed from Figma Community
- Fonts used in the text layers installed on the machine
Steps
- Install CopyDoc from the Figma Community, then return to your Figma file.
- Right-click in the file, open Plugins, and launch CopyDoc.
- Click Spell Check Layers, choose the language that matches your text, and click Find Spelling Mistakes.
- Review the grouped spelling errors, use the search icons to jump to each affected text layer, and inspect the results in the canvas.
- Select the correct suggestion to update matching text layers in bulk, or use Undo next to a correction to revert it.
- If needed, rerun Spell Check Layers after making changes to confirm remaining issues, and use CMD + Z or CTRL + Z for native undo.
- If a font is missing, install it before applying a suggestion because the correction buttons will be disabled until the font is available.
