Video Tutorial: Import Adobe InDesign to Figma

This video walks through how to automatically import your Adobe InDesign (.idml) files to Figma using the Convertify plugin.

To import your designs from an Adobe InDesign (.idml) file to Figma, click the Import into Figma tab, choose Import Adobe InDesign to Figma from the workflow selector, and then drag and drop your .idml file from anywhere on your computer into the dropzone area inside of the Convertify plugin to begin importing your design into Figma and wait for it to finish.

The .idml file is imported directly into your current Figma file. If your document contains multiple pages, each top-level page is imported for review and editing.

File size limits

Import files can be up to 100 MB before extraction. Each file inside an archive can be up to 64 MB, with up to 10,000 files and 256 MB of extracted content in total, including nested packages. If an import exceeds these limits, split the document or reduce its image sizes, then try again.
