What this video covers

The video shows how to use the Convertify Figma plugin to export Figma designs to Canva. It covers exporting a whole page or selected frames as a PSD file, then importing that file into Canva so the layers remain editable, including an option to split large exports into separate PSD files.

Things you'll need

  • A Figma file with frames to export

Steps

  1. Open your Figma file, search for Convertify in the Figma plugins tab, and run or save the plugin.
  2. In Convertify, choose the export Figma to Canva option.
  3. Export either the current page with export this page or specific frames with export selected frames.
  4. When the PSD file is ready, click download PSD for Canva and save it to your computer.
  5. Open canva.com, sign in, and drag the PSD file into the Canva homepage to upload it.
  6. Open the uploaded file in Canva to edit the individual layers.
  7. If the export is too large for Canva's PSD import limit, enable split exports into separate PSD files, export again, download the zip, and upload the PSD files from it to Canva.
