Things you'll need

  • A Figma file
  • The Convertify Figma plugin
  • A Lottie file or Lottie JSON file

Steps

  1. Open a Figma file and run Convertify from the Figma plugins list.
  2. In Convertify, change the default export option to import Lottie as GIF to Figma.
  3. Download a Lottie file or Lottie JSON file from lottiefiles.com, or use your own Lottie file.
  4. Drag and drop the Lottie or JSON file into the plugin’s drop zone.
  5. Wait for Convertify to load and optimize the animation as a GIF fill in Figma.
  6. Preview the imported animation inline in Figma or play it in a prototype.
