Video Tutorial: Export Figma to Canva with one click
This video tutorial is a complete step-by-step guide showing you how to automatically export Figma to Canva via PSD files with one click using the Convertify plugin.
To export your designs from Figma for Canva, select the Export Figma to Canva option from the Convertify select box in the plugin.
Convertify creates a .psd file for this export, because Canva supports importing Adobe Photoshop files. After downloading the file, import the .psd into Canva using Canva's Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop import flow.
If your Figma page is large, enable Split export into separate PSD files before exporting. Canva has a 300 MB import limit, so this option packages one .psd file per top-level Figma frame or layer inside a .zip file.
Exporting the current Figma page to Canva
To convert an entire page, click Export This Page to begin converting the current page to a .psd file.
Exporting selected Figma frames to Canva
If you only want specific areas exported, select the Figma frames you want and then click Export Selected Frames.
Splitting large Canva exports
Turn on Split export into separate PSD files if your Canva upload may be too large. Convertify will still use the PSD export internally, but it will create a .zip package containing smaller .psd files instead of one combined .psd file.
After downloading the .zip, unzip it on your computer and import the .psd files into Canva individually. If a single frame is still over Canva's 300 MB import limit, split that design into smaller Figma frames and export again.
Downloading your .psd file from Figma
After Convertify has finished processing, download your .psd file from the file browser. If you enabled split exports, download the .zip file and unzip it before importing the PSD files into Canva.
Saving file downloads from Figma If you're using the Figma desktop app, you'll see a prompt appear to download your file. However, if you're using Figma in a web browser, your file will automatically be downloaded to your computer by default (usually to the Downloads directory on your computer).
Importing the .psd file into Canva
Once downloaded, upload or import the .psd file into Canva. Canva may convert unsupported Photoshop layer features, effects, or fonts differently, so check the imported design before using it in a live project.
