Video Tutorial: Import an MP4 video to animated GIF in Figma with one click

This video walks through how to automatically convert and import a MP4 video to an animated GIF layer in Figma using the Convertify plugin.

To import MP4 (.mp4) video files to Figma, click the Import into Figma tab, choose Import Video as GIF to Figma from the workflow selector, and then drag and drop your .mp4 file from anywhere on your computer into the dropzone area inside of the Convertify plugin to import your converted animated GIF image layer into Figma.

Note, due to the large size of animated GIFs, MP4 imports are limited to 60 seconds in length.

For unusually large or long videos, Convertify may reduce the GIF dimensions while preserving the aspect ratio so the conversion can complete reliably inside Figma.
