To import your designs from an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file to Figma, select the Import Adobe Illustrator to Figma option from the Convertify select box in the plugin, and then drag and drop your .ai file from anywhere on your computer into the dropzone area inside of the Convertify plugin to begin importing your design into Figma and wait for it to finish.

By default, the Illustrator file will be imported as static JPG image frames. If you need vector layer data, you can try enabling the Import Artboards as Vector Layers (BETA) toggle in the plugin before importing your Illustrator file.
If your Illustrator file isn’t importing at all, you may need to re-save it by opening the .ai file in Adobe Illustrator, re-saving it as a new Illustrator file and ensuring the PDF compatible checkbox is enabled.
