Exporting one responsive HTML5 ZIP for Google Ads

Combine supplied Google Display banner layouts into one responsive uploaded HTML5 ZIP.

Google Ads (Responsive HTML5)

Select Google Ads (Responsive HTML5) when a Google Ads Display campaign needs one uploaded HTML5 ZIP containing several standard banner layouts.

Setup

  1. Create a separate Figma frame for every banner size the campaign needs, such as 300x250, 728x90, or 160x600.
  2. Include all of those frames in the Bannerify timeline.
  3. Click Export to HTML and select Google Ads (Responsive HTML5).
  4. Export and unzip Bannerify's downloaded file.
  5. Upload the single responsive ZIP inside the _zip folder to Google Ads.

Bannerify adds Google's responsive uploaded-HTML5 metadata and switches to the included layout whose dimensions match the available ad space. It does not generate new layouts or stretch one frame across unrelated banner sizes, so include every size required by the campaign.

This format is different from Responsive HTML (Media Queries), which is intended for custom hosting, and from Google App Campaign (Responsive), which is a full-screen portrait and landscape format for campaigns promoting an app.

Google Ads limits uploaded HTML5 access to eligible accounts and supported campaign types. A fresh test account may reject HTML5 uploads even when the ZIP structure is valid.

See Google's responsive uploaded HTML5 ad documentation and responsive layout documentation.
