Export banners to animated PNG (APNG) images from Figma

This tutorial shows how to use the Bannerify Figma plugin to export animated banners from Figma as animated PNG (APNG) files. It also demonstrates downloading the ZIP output and previewing the exported PNGs with the included index.html file.

Steps

  1. Open your Figma file, search for Bannerify from the actions icon, and save or run the plugin.
  2. Right-click on the canvas, go to plugins, then saved plugins, and launch Bannerify.
  3. Click load banners to import the Figma frames and their child layers into Bannerify.
  4. When the banners are ready, click export to GIF/video and choose export APNG.
  5. Wait for Bannerify to process each banner, then download the ZIP file and unzip it.
  6. Open the APNG folder to view the exported .png files, or drag the index.html file into a browser to preview them together.
