# Getting Started with TinyImage
# Introduction
TinyImage (opens new window) lets you export compressed JPG, PNG, SVG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and PDF files from Figma, reducing image file sizes by up to 95%, or downsize and compress image fills in your Figma file for faster performance.

# Installing TinyImage
Ensure you're logged into your Figma account, then follow the steps below to install the TinyImage Figma plugin.
# Install with your Web Browser
- Navigate to the TinyImage Figma plugin (opens new window) page in your web browser
- Click the Try it out button in the top right hand side of the page
- Select your Figma account from the pop-up window
- Figma will create a blank Figma file and pop-up a prompt with the TinyImage plugin details
- Click on the "More options" … (3 dots) icon button, then click Save to install the TinyImage plugin.
# Install with the Figma Desktop App
- Open the file browser in Figma.
- Click the Community page in the sidebar.
- Enter TinyImage into the search bar at the top of the page.
- Click the Plugins tab to filter results to plugins only.
- Click the Try it out button in the top right hand side of the page
- Select your Figma account from the pop-up window
- Figma will create a blank Figma file and pop-up a prompt with the TinyImage plugin details
- Click on the "More options" … (3 dots) icon button, then click Save to install the TinyImage plugin.

Figma Organization Users
Anyone with a Figma account can install plugins; however, users in a Figma Organization may only be able to install approved plugins.
# Running TinyImage
Edit Access Required
Anyone with Edit access to a file can run a plugin in that file, anyone who only has View permissions won't be able to run any plugins in that file.
Browser Support
Due to browser compatibility issues, TinyImage isn't supported in Safari. Please run the plugin in another browser (like Chrome (opens new window)) or the Figma Desktop App (opens new window) instead.
Once you've installed the TinyImage Figma plugin, you can switch back into any Figma project file, then follow the steps below.
- Right-click anywhere on your Figma project canvas
- Hover your mouse over Plugins ▶
- Hover your mouse over Saved plugins ▶
- Click on the TinyImage plugin
# Quickly re-running the plugin
After you've run the TinyImage plugin once in a Figma file, you'll be able to quickly re-launch it by clicking the TinyImage icon in the right-hand side Figma column (under the "Plugin" subheading).
# Upgrading to a Pro account
After trying out all the Pro features of TinyImage 15 times, you can optionally upgrade to continue using all the extra features that are only available in the Pro version; or if you're a casual user, you can continue using the Free version forever.
Simply click on the Upgrade Now button at the bottom of the Figma plugin window (while it's running) and paste in your Pro key, then click the Unlock button.

VPN may be required in China
Please note, if you're in China, the accounts server may be blocked by "The Great Firewall of China". If you're seeing a activation error, despite using a valid key, you will likely need to use a VPN (opens new window) to resolve the issue.
