Steps

  1. Install the Crypto Figma plugin from Figma Community by searching for "Crypto" under Plugins.
  2. Open the plugin from your Figma file by right-clicking and choosing Plugins > Crypto Password Protection, or relaunch it from the sidebar after it has been opened once.
  3. Select the frames you want to include in the secure preview, then click "Securely Share Designs" to generate and upload the protected link.
  4. Copy the secure link and password from the plugin, then open the link in a browser and log in with the password.
  5. To change the shared preview without changing the link, reopen Crypto and choose "Update Last Uploaded Version" after selecting the updated frames.
  6. To create a separate version, reorder frames if needed and click "Upload New Version" to generate a new secure URL and versioned preview.
  7. Use the padlock icon in the plugin or the browser preview to quickly copy the password or URL later.
