# Reduce large file sizes for heavy PDF exports from Figma

> This tutorial shows how to use the TinyImage Figma plugin to reduce heavy PDF export sizes by downscaling large image fills and adjusting PDF settings. It demonstrates exporting both merged multi-frame PDFs and individual frame PDFs, then compares file-size savings at 300 DPI and 150 DPI.

**What this video covers**

This tutorial shows how to use the TinyImage Figma plugin to reduce heavy PDF export sizes by downscaling large image fills and adjusting PDF settings. It demonstrates exporting both merged multi-frame PDFs and individual frame PDFs, then compares file-size savings at 300 DPI and 150 DPI.

**Things you'll need**

- A Figma file with frames on the page.
- TinyImage installed as a Figma plugin.

**Steps**

1. Open Figma, find TinyImage from Resources or Saved plugins, and run the plugin.
2. Choose create PDF, make sure the frames you want are parent frames on the page, and refresh the layer list if needed.
3. Enable Downscale large Figma image fills and set the downscale option to 2x.
4. Export the PDF and save it to your computer to generate a much smaller merged PDF.
5. To export individual PDFs, select each frame, set its export format from PNG to PDF, then refresh exportable layers in TinyImage.
6. Use the PDF settings panel or create PDF output to adjust DPI, such as 300 DPI or 150 DPI, then export again for different quality and file-size results.
