**What this video covers**

This tutorial shows how to use the TinyImage Compressor Figma plugin’s Downsizer feature to shrink Figma image fills to match their layer size, with an option to keep 2x retina sharpness. It explains how downsizing and light compression can reduce file size, improve performance, and keep images looking sharp on the canvas.

**Things you'll need**

- Figma
- TinyImage Compressor installed from the Figma Community

**Steps**

1. Go to the Figma Community, search for TinyImage, open the Plugins tab, and install TinyImage Compressor.
2. In your Figma file, right-click and open Plugins > TinyImage Compressor.
3. Click the Downsizer button to load the image fills on the page and select the fills you want to optimize.
4. Choose either the default 2x option for retina sharpness or uncheck it to downsize to 1x.
5. Click Downsize Figma Fills or Downsize Figma Fills @2x to replace the original fills with smaller versions.
6. Use the preview image icon to inspect which layer each fill belongs to if needed.
