# Compress JPG/PNG images

**What this video covers**

The video shows how to install and use the TinyImage JPG/PNG Compressor Figma plugin to compress exportable images directly in Figma. It demonstrates selecting image layers, adjusting compression quality, exporting compressed files as a zip, and comparing results for JPG and PNG exports.

**Things you'll need**

- Figma
- TinyImage JPG/PNG Compressor installed in Figma
- Image layers in the file with export settings

**Steps**

1. Open the Figma plugin directory from the Figma icon, go to Plugins, then Browse all plugins, search for TinyImage, and install it if needed.
2. In your file, right-click and open Plugins, then choose TinyImage JPG/PNG Compressor, or run the last plugin to open it quickly.
3. Review the list of layers with export settings; only layers with export settings appear in TinyImage.
4. Select or deselect images and export sizes using the checkboxes, including the top checkbox to toggle everything.
5. Adjust the compression quality with the slider, then click Compress to process the selected JPG and PNG exports.
6. Save the generated zip file when prompted and open it to view the compressed image files.
7. Check the per-image and total savings shown in TinyImage, and rerun the plugin after changing Figma export settings if you want different sizes or formats.
