# Export HTML emails from Figma to ConvertKit

## What this video covers

This tutorial shows how to design an HTML email in Figma with the Emailify plugin, export it as production-ready code, and import it into ConvertKit as a custom email template. It also explains the required ConvertKit footer tags and how to use the exported .zip file and index.html content inside ConvertKit.

## Things you'll need

- Emailify installed in Figma.
- An Emailify email design ready to export.
- Access to ConvertKit's custom-template import flow.

## Steps

1. [ ] Open Figma, find Emailify under the Plugins tab in Resources, and run it from Saved plugins.
2. [ ] Create an Emailify container for your email and, before exporting, add the ConvertKit footer from the Footers tab.
3. [ ] Use the preview button to check the HTML email on mobile and desktop, then close the preview.
4. [ ] Click export HTML, choose ConvertKit under platform options, add a subject line and preheader text, and export the .zip file.
5. [ ] Unzip the file, open the folder for your email, and locate the index.html file.
6. [ ] In ConvertKit, create a new email template using the import code flow, name the template, and paste in the source from index.html.
7. [ ] Save the template, then use it in a new broadcast under the send menu.
