# Export HTML emails from Figma to ConvertKit

**What this video covers**

This tutorial shows how to design an HTML email in Figma with the Emailify plugin, export it as production-ready code, and import it into ConvertKit as a custom email template. It also explains the required ConvertKit footer tags and how to use the exported .zip file and index.html content inside ConvertKit.

**Steps**

1. Open Figma, find Emailify under the Plugins tab in Resources, and run it from Saved plugins.
2. Create an Emailify container for your email and, before exporting, add the ConvertKit footer from the Footers tab.
3. Use the preview button to check the HTML email on mobile and desktop, then close the preview.
4. Click export HTML, choose ConvertKit under platform options, add a subject line and preheader text, and export the .zip file.
5. Unzip the file, open the folder for your email, and locate the index.html file.
6. In ConvertKit, create a new email template using the import code flow, name the template, and paste in the source from index.html.
7. Save the template, then use it in a new broadcast under the send menu.
