**What this video covers**

This tutorial shows how to use the CopyDoc plugin to sync spreadsheet content into Figma layers, including text and SVG icons. It demonstrates two workflows: pulling data from a public Google Sheet with hosted SVG links or embedded SVG tags, and importing a local ZIP file containing an Excel/CSV spreadsheet plus SVG files.

**Things you'll need**

- A Figma file with layers named to match the spreadsheet headers.
- A spreadsheet in Google Sheets, Excel, or CSV format.
- For Google Sheets, a shared link set to "anyone with the link can be a viewer".

**Steps**

1. Open your Figma file, find CopyDoc from Resources, and run it from Saved plugins.
2. Click the sync spreadsheet button in CopyDoc and choose a Google Sheets link or a local Excel, CSV, or ZIP file.
3. Make sure the spreadsheet header names match the Figma layer names you want to sync, such as "hash title" and "hash icon".
4. For Google Sheets, set sharing to "anyone with the link can be a viewer," copy the link, and paste it into CopyDoc.
5. Select the parent frame layers in Figma, choose the sync order, and click sync rows.
6. For a local import, zip the spreadsheet together with the referenced SVG files, then drag and drop the ZIP into CopyDoc's Drop Zone and sync the rows.
