# Importing charts from spreadsheet data

### Sync chart data to Figma from a spreadsheet

This video tutorial is a complete step-by-step guide showing you how to sync chart data to Figma from a spreadsheet using the CopyDoc plugin.

> **Tip:** **Download sample CSV files for each chart type**. You can download a `.csv` file containing sample data for any chart type by clicking on your chart type, then clicking on the **chart-sample-data.csv** link, which will download the example CSV file to your computer to update with your own data.

You can select one of the chart options below:

- Bar Chart
- Column Chart
- Line Chart
- Area Chart
- Combo Chart
- Donut Chart
- Pie Chart
- Scatter Chart
- Stepped Area Chart

Once you've chosen your chart type and added your spreadsheet data, click the **Insert Chart to Figma** button to instantly add your chart to Figma as a new editable frame on your current page.

You can then optionally customize the colors, text content or any other elements of the chart design by editing the vector/text layers that are automatically added to your page when the chart is inserted from the plugin.
