## Creating your Figma Variable text snippets

To create a Figma Variable text snippet, click on the **Local Variables** item in the right-hand side column in the Figma app, then click the **+ Create Variable** button in the pop-up panel, select the **Text** option from the drop down menu; then you can add your variable label under the **Name** column (eg. `Heading`), then add your text snippet content under the **Value** column (eg. `This is my text snippet for a heading`).

Your text content snippet (under the **Value** column) contains the string(s) that will be applied to your Figma text layers when the snippet is clicked on in your content library.

To create multiple variants for one text snippet, you can use double pipe symbols between your strings (eg. `Hey || Hello || Hi`).

After you've added your Figma variables, you'll be able to browse and apply the text values from them to your Figma text layers by selecting the **Figma Variables** option under the **Integrations** tab of the **Content Library** CopyDoc feature.
