# Import an MP4 video to animated GIF in Figma with one click

**Things you'll need**

- Figma
- Convertify Figma plugin
- An MP4 video file

**Steps**

1. Open a new or existing Figma file, open the actions icon, search for Convertify under the plugins tab, and save or run it.
2. In Convertify, open the dropdown and switch from Export Figma to Sketch to Import to Figma, then choose Import Video as GIF to Figma.
3. Drag and drop an MP4 video file into the Convertify window.
4. Wait for the plugin to convert the video frame by frame into a GIF and insert it automatically into the Figma page.
5. Select the inserted layer and check the fill preview, where it appears as GIF with a play icon.
6. Use the GIF layer like a normal Figma layer, including resizing it or playing it back inside Figma.
7. Keep video clips short; the tutorial notes a maximum video length of 60 seconds, with shorter clips preferred.
