**What this video covers**

The video shows how to use the Convertify Figma plugin to import Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files into Figma with one click. It demonstrates both bitmap import and the beta option to import artboards as vector layers, with examples showing the difference in sharpness and editability.

**Things you'll need**

- Figma
- Convertify Figma plugin
- An Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file

**Steps**

1. Open Figma, click the Resources icon, search for Convertify under the Plugins tab, and run it or save it to your plugin list.
2. Open Convertify from Saved Plugins, then change the mode from Export Figma to Sketch to Import Adobe Illustrator to Figma.
3. Optionally leave Import artboards as vector layers turned off to import an .ai file as a bitmap.
4. Drag and drop an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file into the plugin drop zone to import it into Figma.
5. Turn on the BETA Import artboards as vector layers option and drop the .ai file again to import it as vector layers.
6. Inspect the imported layers in Figma, edit vector shapes and colors, and note that text in vector imports becomes individual vector shapes rather than editable text layers.
