# Convert Figma Components to Sketch Symbols

**What this video covers**

This tutorial shows how to use the Convertify Figma plugin to export a Figma design to Sketch, including converting Figma components into Sketch symbols. It also demonstrates how the exported Sketch file can be edited through symbols, colors, and styles for global updates.

**Things you'll need**

- Figma
- Convertify plugin
- Sketch

**Steps**

1. Install the Convertify plugin from the Figma Community.
2. Open a Figma file, then run Convertify from right-click > Plugins > Convertify.
3. Open the settings icon next to the Sketch button and enable “Convert Figma components to Sketch symbols”.
4. Click “Convert to Sketch” and wait for the plugin to process all pages and layers.
5. Click “Download Sketch File” and save the file to your computer.
6. Open the exported Sketch file in Sketch and check the new “Symbols” page for converted components.
7. Edit symbols, colors, or styles in Sketch to update the design globally.
