# Importing DXF to Figma

> Import DXF CAD drawings as supported editable Figma layers with Convertify.

Convertify imports `.dxf` drawings into Figma with supported editable vectors and text.

> **Warning:** DXF import is in Beta. Linked images become placeholders. Save DWG files as DXF in your CAD application before importing.

## Import a drawing

1. [Run Convertify in Figma](/convertify/overview/install) and choose **Import into Figma**.
2. Choose **Import DXF to Figma (Beta)**.
3. Click the file chooser or drop a `.dxf` file into the plugin.
4. Review the import warnings and compare the imported geometry, text and layouts against the original drawing.

Model space and supported layouts can produce separate frames. Unsupported CAD features may be approximated or omitted; a successful import does not establish full CAD editing or measurement parity in Figma.
