# Exporting Figma to Word

> Export Figma frames as a reflowable or positioned Word .docx document with Convertify.

Convertify exports Figma frames into a Word `.docx` document.

> **Warning:** Word export is in Beta. Word and Figma lay out content differently. Review the document in Word before sharing it.

## Export your document

1. [Run Convertify in Figma](/convertify/overview/install) and choose **Export from Figma**.
2. Choose **Export Figma to Microsoft Word (Beta)**.
3. Choose **Flow: a reflowable document** or **Layout: layers placed as in Figma**.
4. Choose the page size. Flow uses A4 or US Letter; Layout also offers **each frame's size**.
5. Select frames and click **Export Selected Frames**, or click **Export This Page**.
6. Download the `.docx` file and review it in Word.

## Choose Flow or Layout

**Flow** writes supported text, tables and inline pictures in reading order so the document can reflow in Word. Choose it when the reader needs to edit or extend the text.

**Layout** places supported text boxes, pictures, shapes and tables on the page at their Figma positions. Choose it when page arrangement matters more than flowing text.

Neither mode guarantees identical rendering. Check fonts, reading order, page breaks and conversion warnings. Oversized frames are scaled to Word's page limits.

To convert the other way, see [Importing Word Docs to Figma](/convertify/import/word-docs).
