# Deleting todo items and lists

> You can delete individual todo items or an entire todo list under your _My Todos_ panel at any time.

## Delete a single todo item

To delete a **single todo item**, with the _My Todos_ tab selected, hover over any todo item under any todo list, then click on the **Trash** icon button; this will instantly and _permanently_ delete the todo item and remove it from the todo list it belongs to.

> **Warning:** Please be mindful that deleting a todo item or a todo list will **permanently delete it**.

## Delete an entire list of todo items

To delete **an entire list of todos items**, with the _My Todos_ tab selected, hover over any todo list, then click on the **Trash** icon button, which will display a confirmation prompt asking if you really want to delete the todo list (and all of the todo items inside of it).

If you're sure you want to permanently delete the todo list, you can click the **Delete Todo List** button to confirm; then this will instantly and _permanently_ delete the todo list, along with any todo items inside of the list.

> **Warning:** Please be mindful that deleting a todo item or a todo list will **permanently delete it**.
